| Youth Club |
Youth Club (for age Year 5 upwards) meets on Fridays from 7.15pm to 8.45pm during school term time.
It's another Friday evening and I am sitting at home waiting for Jess to call so that we can go to youth club. I don't know what we will be doing this evening but we have had lots of fun this year.
Last week we made cakes and cookies and got to take them home, couple of weeks ago two soldiers came and built an assault course in the church hall, my team did not win but we all had great fun.
We also play street hockey, football and lots of other games. We had a beetle drive to test it out to see if we enjoy it.
Bryony, Katie and Father Richard all join in and make the evening so much fun.
Youth club is 50p to get in, but your first week is free to see if you will enjoy (it well there is nothing not to enjoy about it). We also have a tuck shop for everyone to buy sweets and drinks, you can spend up to 75p.
Youth Club is for year 5 and over and you can come even if you are in secondary school. Its good to meet your school friends out of school !
Oh, and by the way my name is Alice, and we played the ice cream game this week, where we feed each other ice cream while we are blindfolded.
~~~~~~~~~
“Once upon a time ….” (but we decided that this is not a good way to start).
Here’s our second attempt ...
We’ve formed a youth club. It’s fun. We play lots of games, we have free time. The balloon game is the best game we’ve played so far. You have to burst a balloon with a hockey stick, while you are blindfolded (with one person to give you instructions). Inside the balloon is a piece of paper with a prize written on it for you to share if you can burst the balloon.
The chocolate game (sometimes called choc-o-lot).
You have to get dressed in a scientist suit, put a helmet on, wear gloves and you pick up a knife and cut off a piece of chocolate from a bar lying on a tray on the floor. The trouble is that you then have to pick up the chocolate with a fork and it’s harder than you think.
We’ve played football, dance mat competitions,
In free time we have tuck shop, our own cd music, and clear up the mess from the games we’ve played.
We’re looking forward to sleepovers, cooking, craft things, dvd nights, and there’s a beetle drive soon….
Ella F., Shannon, Bradley, Cody, Lewis, Elliott, Sophie, Jessica and others …
